download (3)Summary
Energy is the pivot on which economic growth turns. Presently we do not have enough reserves of gas for the enormous demands that economic growth is likely to generate. It has to be imported. This can be imported from our immediate neighbors to the West and East; with the Gulf and with Central Asian countries, with Southeast Asian sources like Myanmar etc. Some understandings have been reached, others are being negotiated. This book is an attempt to describe and analyse the situation we face now, the difficulties we need to overcome, and how best to ensure the security of our energy supplies in the coming decades.
