The political awakening of Burma/ Myanmar is one of the most important, and positive, developments in Southeast Asian and global affairs. One of the major stakeholders in Burma/ Myanmar’s path to political and economic reform is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the region’s premier cooperative regional institution.
